Washington (CERR) February 18, 2010 – Peabody Energy, the largest coal producer in the U.S. and technology provider GreatPoint Energy agreed to jointly pursue development of coal-to-gas and coal-to hydrogen projects with carbon capture and storage and enhanced oil recovery.

            The projects would use GreatPoint’s Bluegas technology, which utilizes catalytic hydromethanation to produce hydrogen and substitute natural gas in a single-stage gasification process.
